I told 'em Honda should build a 350 - 400cc version of a WR250R. Same weight, peak power, and suspension, but a more relaxed demeanor.

How come no other current Japanese 250 can come close to the HP of the WR?

I told them to make the 450x street legal in CA. They would sell a ton of them.

I certainly looked at the new Honda 250 CRL for a new purchase. Some of the features are outstanding but last week I purchased a DRZ 400 instead.

One of the deciding factors was the weight. Both are the same weight. The larger engine was a consideration. I'm presently riding a 650 KLR but it's a little too heavy and clunky for off road but a beauty on long road trips. I'll keep it for sure. It's been my main ride for ten years. Bullet proof.

I'm bike poor with a 85 K100, 2012 Heritage, and the new DRZ 400.

350 - 450 cc for Adventure Travel.
Electric and kick start backup.
F.I. tuned for smooth drive ability and fuel mileage.
Built for reliability and longevity for long distance adventure.
Large fuel tank is a must with 300 or better mile range.(6-8 Gallon).
Fully adjustable suspension front and rear,
and a wide comfy seat for knocking down miles on the slab in between off road sections.
Good led lighting for night riding with auxiliary driving lights.
Cush drive rear sprocket for the road and 6 gear overdrive for the highway.

I went for both renewable energy power source and bio-degradable construction. I'm just SO tired of feeling guilty.

There are currently 2-threads covering this. I forward the motion that we post the serious answers on the other one and make this the designated 205 thread on the topic.

Second ?

Why?

did this get moved; maybe it was in beasts for a reason? I told Honda I wanted a twin. Around 1000cc, FI, modern suspension from a CRF, and some color molded plastic that can take a beating.

I added tire warmers and an IR track timer... integrated into the bark busters.

I'd put those down as "accessories"; along with the USB & RAM mounts for the pictures of food app. and Starbucks gift card holder.

They can. They're called MX and enduro dirtbikes.

The WRR also revs its tits off to make that power.

Done.

I asked for an updated, liquid cooled, roomier (I don't fit on those at 6'5") XR650L with a heavy duty frame (sub frame) for adventure travel and then an XR650R with higher end components on it for desert use.
