what GPS to get

Going to be travelling across the country and going to need a GPS that pretty much gets me there, and even off the beaten path, something that also maps out gas routes, campsites/motel/hotel.... hopefully something I can throw it on any bike and be able to use it no problem. I like detailed specific maps, sideroads, alternate routes and what not. whats a good reliable GPS that I can take on a cross country run.
