Scotland for me is one of the nicest places in "Europe" to me. Awesome friendly people, unreal scenery, safe as heck, and 4 seasons in one day, genuinely.

MrJemm and others on this forum are from that area, check out pics under Orange Crush (Show your bikes), for some scenic shots.

Wohooo new baby in the shed

Well thanks to cool okes like Grizzie wif a lekka kar and trailer we cruised down to Bournemouth last Friday to pick up the new addition to the family

Enter XT 600 Teneré....

This was aquired after some blatant boredom at work and bidding on ebay

But just how can you not like a bike like this, for £480 there is just no reason not to get it. Kickstart only but it goes by the second hit normally. Now in two minds to I clean it up to it's original state or just ride it to the bone

Thanks to Grizz again for helping me out on short notice, over here you don't really have friends - everyone is like family

To give you guys an idea it took us over 4 hours to drive from Kent to Bournemouth - 140 miles.

It took only 2 hours to get back but yes it's nice to know there is still guys around willing to give 6 hours of their weekend up to go and collect a toy with their car and trailer!

Our ride back was pleasant and blessed with a beautifull sunset...

We had to give my Mrs some fish and chips to keep her quiet at the back while we were having our cola's

Ermmm that's not my hairy leg I shave

Now the playtime begins..

Enjoy manne!

ride it to the bone, or at least try.
i have owned two XT600's. both were stolen, bastards. i still have a XT500 that i can't kill. the only thing that you should watch for is oil consumption. change valve stem seals and rings and off you go

Too right, agreed. Ride it to the bone. Thats what bikes like dat are made for anyhows.

Geez, 10 years ago that beauty you have there, would have me having sleepless nights thinking bout it. I got me a XR600 and I blew that engine - although I only ever rode it on the road. I was so stoked one night after seeing the hot bokkie in town, I had her cranking full out on the road (I didnt ride much then), and I blew the small or big end cant remember. Cost me the same price to fix the bike as the cost of bike when I first got her.

IT was then a hiatus for many moons till I got my current thumpie Dakster.

So - well done, fantastic addition to the family, and congratulations! Shot Grizz for helping out. Couldnt help but seeing that Golf interior..

ANd quit shaving your legs Maverick!

Grizz is a bit of a number plate horder he will roll a car to stop and pick a plate up the other side of a highway

The Tenere was one of those bikes me and my best china checked out sitting on the school fence watching the english school birds strolling pass. Yas howsat you pretty things which was very quickly interupted by the only Tenere in the Germiston area cruising past with us drooling and the girls forgotten. Then of course the old discussion of one day when we are big

Well I am big now

Moerse Plesier Maverick..... I do enjoy this little car, and when I get to share is with the Lovely Mrs MAVERICK in the rear, asking how far to go every 5 minutes..... my day is made.... She cooks a mean plate of food as well.

Dirk is very right about one thing he did say.... over here we donot have many friends, but hey.... family everywhere.

It was a pleasure going to pick up the baby, I always love it when a tool works, and the trailer has now brought 3 bikes home from all over the UK, and taken the Tuareg to Wales for forest fun etc...

This was just loaded up to go to Wales for some forest fun..... count one fall, 2 indicators , a sparaned thumb and another wrist...

Just found this pic I took hanging off the side of the 1150 one weekend, chasing Gauloises on his very sexy 1150GS.

Thought you might like it.
