Yesterday was a blast. Group of five ( Abbi,Brian,Jim(Bill) Mark, and I (Erling) went over Cinamon, to Lake city, the Engineer, Hurricane, and California, back to Silverton. We were all fresh, and only Abbi's bike took a little nap, but that was because Brian's tail light did not work..... LOL.

Location Help

Showers and thunderstorms will effect much of the eastern half of the country with an approaching front while additional showers and thunderstorms will continue across the Desert Southwest due to Monsoonal moisture.

A frontal boundary draped over the Mississippi Valley and southern Plains will continue to move toward the Middle Atlantic and Northeast through the short term. Prior to its East Coast arrival, showers and thunderstorms will affect the Plains and Southeast through Saturday into Sunday morning. Out west, Monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will continue triggering thunderstorms.

Doh! Got a flat in Durango, so I'm waiting for the motorcycle places to open so I can pick up a new tube....That'll teach me to carry a spare.

Maybe I'll make it to Silverton around 10:30. Any rides departing after that?

From the top of Black Bear, which proved to be a bit too much for the Super Tenere's.

Near the top of Engineer pass. Wish I wouldn't have left our rain liners at base camp..42 degrees at the top and drenched, but had a blast anyway!

I had a lot of fun hanging out in Silverton, even if it was cut short by bike trouble. Big thanks to the crew I rode with (sorry I forgot your names) for hauling my sorry ass back to camp, and to Kim for hauling my sorry ass back to Albuquerque. No idea what's wrong with the bike yet, I'm hoping they'll have some news by midweek once they look at it.

Hopefully I'll be back next year, probably with my truck.

Thanks Big John, John, Mac, Mark and the rest of the RMAR crew, Sherry and I had a great time. We'll be back. Please extend our gratitude to the town of Silverton and Red Mountain for their hospitality.

Thanks to Kimberly for weathering the storm.

Thanks to Klim, Kawasaki, Wolfman Luggage, Woodys Wheel Works and the rest of the sponsors.

Hey Pat,

Good to ride with you yesterday. Beware the ghost of Wager Gulch.

Here is a little reminder of good will from the RMAR event.

Too bad you didn't get to ride with us today as Chris and I rode some really fun stuff today.

Hope your bike is healed up quick.

Steve
