No idea what's wrong with the bike yet, I'm hoping they'll have some news by midweek once they look at it.

Hopefully I'll be back next year, probably with my truck.

Just saw this now...... I know quite a bit about the 8gs. Have had mine since '09. I am in spot 23 with the yellow/carbon 8gs. I would like to have a look. Here until tuesday.

Thanks for the offer, but the bike is sitting in the Albuquerque dealership. My suspicion is something with the charging system, either the R/R or the stator. I'm slightly mechanically inclined and I know just enough about electronics to be dangerous, but I'll let the guys with all the right diagnostic tools sort this one out.

Ok..... Bummer. I looked around for your bike in camp this morning, and did not see ya. . That is too bad. I am not sure if it still is under warranty.... But I wrote this short trouble shoot of your charging system.....

The stators have been known to fail on these, due to overheat, and as such I am running a mosfet R/R.

Anyway, John at Sandia is a good man. Tell him hi please.

Awesome weekend! Enjoyed meeting new people and riding a bunch of new singletrack, and showing the "goods" around Rico to more riders. Last night was a ball in town, maybe I imbibed a bit too much...straight vodka shots at the Captain's place really did me in but all was well in the world this morning as I rolled out of camp!

Lost Keys

We lost a large set of keys 2" ring with a yellow bottle opener on it. Fell off the truck somewhere between RMAR and the Mill tour. If found Call Kevin 505-363-9874.

Had a great time and really enjoyed riding with Steve, Chris and Pat. Even with the curse of Wager Gulch and my little crash it was fun.

Silverton is just a stunning location and great place to share some camaraderie, ride together and raise some money for trail access work.

My hat is off to John, Matt, Modette and all the crew who put this together!

Gotta agree with that. I "just" put in a UHD tube in the front tire, and ran up the pressure to get it mounted. I was able to carry a lot more momentum through the large and small rocks, making it easier to get through the rubble.
