New CSM Outback rig from Claude

I am very happy to show off another Claude Stanley creation. Claude designed this versatile rig for my many future adventures with a special focus my need to carry surfboards, bicycles, and kayaks on top of the sidecar.

Here's Claude and his team that built my rig (Dave K. tested the rig that morning but left before I snapped the pic):

More to come...

Need to see the vid of you carving a tight corner with the kayak on board. That'll be a must see.

Like the paint job!

I like the deep cutout for the monkey to pass a leg through, making entry and egress easier.
Although I suspect that the kayak will be a bit of a hinderance for whom ever it is.
I would like to see a pic of how your panniers open.
From the pic they look like Jesse's that hinge on the outside and could contact the sidecar when fully open.
Congrats on the new rig!

Nice job Claude and Co.

Cheers.

I thought of you during my trip back from PA and thought of stopping by to meet you but was too tired from battling nasty storms that week. In hindsight, I should have - sorry to see your rig go West.

Beautiful setup! Now get out there and have fun. Oh, and take lots of pictures while you are at it.

Heavy

Yep, it is large and heavy. It struggles and cannot exceed 75 mph going uphill with a moderate load on the sidecar. No problems on local or state roads. It will be perfect to carry my other toys as I do not intend to make sharp or speedy turns with my large toys. Attachments with either be Thule or Yakima that will be attached to the rear bar and the front screen bar.

Jesse's do open out but Claude left plenty of room - it does not touch the sidecar.
