One to two weeks from CA to Texas? Even if a less-than-load operation where they are picking up and dropping stuff along the way, it's hard to believe it could take two weeks. I would have expected they load up with a bunch of bikes (not just CB's) and make a pretty direct route to multiple dealers. But what do I know.

I agree. Just repeating what I was told. I'm sure it's better for a dealer to state two weeks and surprise buyers after a week, than to say a week and it takes two...Much happier customer that way...tp

No shit, especially if those customers happen to be anyone who's been hanging around this thread for any period of time! To say that tension is building in lockstep with expectations would be an understatement. Just imagine them saying two weeks only to discover there are further unexpected delays that somehow creep up.

At this point, I'd probably be wise to convince myself that the bikes won't be coming in until sometime in May.

That's when I'm expecting mine, and quite frankly that's fine by me.

I live in Massachusetts, and the roads aren't clear until late April.

I refuse to read any more hype about scarcity. If you've got a video, post it. If you've got something to type that somehow increases the amount buyers should expect to pay, save it - and go to hell.

It's a simple bike for simple money. That Honda didn't make it for years is their fault. My bikes will keep running until this new UJM is understood to be just another bike in the market.
+1 and its not them commenting on the low HP numbers, etc either

Alright. Lets think about this. There are 315 million people in the U.S. and ten whole people have put there money down on this bike.
And now we are getting fucking! impatient.
I now understand why the rest of the world won't cut us a break.

Honestly, I am beginning to believe that this bike is going to go the way of the cb-1, gb500 etc. etc. because most buyers won't see it for what it is. Yay! I will own one of the most notorious? - infamous? instant classics that ever existed. Unless people do realize how great this bike is, in which case it makes me one of the first enthusiasts to spot the best bike of THIS century. Win -win. Hope it lives up to the expectations!

AND I figure in either case it will make me a pioneer, even a hipster, in which case I can then go purchase a Bolt!

Others have said that too. Unlike those bikes, however, which Honda hoped would sell well, but didn't, Honda is using more of a 'managed expectations' type of marketing strategy with this bike. I think even if there is more demand than supply on this one, Honda won't mindlessly jump to meet the demand this time around. That doesn't mean they wouldn't ramp up production a bit if there was overwhelming demand because sure, they are in the market to sell bikes; but I believe they are taking more of a long-term view on this one. Call it a boutique bike, whatever, but if such a strategy keeps the bike on the market longer I'm all for it.

Either way, it's far too early to know how it will all play out. Let's give it a year or two.

I just got an email from the guy I sold my 1100F to in Dallas.
He said that last Friday he talked to two dealers in the area and was told by both that delivery of the new 1100 is being delayed by two weeks.
Don't know how much more of this I can take!!!

You've got two weeks to kill...

I know mine was originally supposed to be released on the 16 th and as I reported earlier that has now been pushed back to the 28th ( released, not delivered). My newest projected date of delivery is April 5 th or 6 th.
