I'm with you. I like it.

Being in metro Boston, the tank size isn't an issue for me... I'm used to the Monster though, so I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty with the valves either...

Initially I was disappointed by the hp # for the CB1100, but after owning my Rex a few years, I think I'd be happy enough with 87hp. I very seldom use all the power I've got, when I do wind it out it gets up to 130 before you know it. I don't need to be going that fast. And I can't seem to get more than 6000 miles out of a rear tire. My first was about 3000. On the other hand, now I've got my ZRX set up nicely, and it's paid for. So I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon, but the CB100 would sorely tempt me.
Yeah,I ride a 99 Triumph Trophy 1200 all around, its like a vintage bike with water cooling, but it does go 140 as smooth as can be,also flat squirts around any kind of corner with out dragging hard parts.
Pulls hard to 9 grand but will pass cars at 4 grand like they werent there.
It works. Naked bikes are neat till it rains,or gets really cold outside.

Yeppers.
Nakeds are just for those warm sunny days. Anything else and I'm on something with wind protection!

That said, I do love the look of this CB.... can't want to check it out in person.

Apparently the non-insect style of motorcycle is in high demand. Count me in.

yeah, it doesn't worry me, either.

It'll probably go 30k before it needs anything anyhow.

I never owned a Trophy 1200, but I rode a few. That motor is all you say it is and more. I actually preferred the '95 model, before they went to the more aerodynamic body style. I hemmed and hawed and kicked tires until suddenly they were all gone.

140 MPH on a public road? Or a track?

If on a public road, I'm damn glad you don't live near me.

+1

Anything over 120 is just irresponsible.
