Coincidentally found myself in Wellsboro while my girlfriend runs an ultramarathon.

Weather looks rough today but it was cool to see Doug and the rest of the riders

...but maybe riding backwards like that will keep the water out of his eyes! Brilliant!

Looks like he's doing a pretty good job of playing cat and mouse with the rain....looks like he stopped for a bit and is now moving again between storms.

two girls were buying T shirts Friday morning and they had accents, and they were from Italy. They said their rider was on a Sunbeam. Assuming it's him. The one girl had some resemblance to a smaller version of Monica Belluci.

the bike had that nice old suitcase strapped to the back, the thing even has old postage stamps on it. Hate to think of that in the rain.

speaking of accents you haven't heard one proper until you've heard Buck Rinkers. As I was shooting the Thursday night troubleshooting session on # 89 Buck wandered in and eventually he asked if I wanted to take a picture of two southerners. I told him I didn't think West Virginia was part of the south.

one more...at the start. he'd been kicking this thing for a couple of minutes. when it fired so did the crowd. cool way to spend a day off.
