You're sounding a little down. Must be the Chicago Blues drifting across the lake.
Better days are coming , you know it . When you get further west and it's drier and the roads are empty, you'll hit your stride .
Anyway keep your powder [and magneto] dry and enjoy the dog and pony show !

Better days are coming alright, the weather for this week looks great. I saw the local big lake forecast for today and ferry ride could be a little bumpy. Waves 3 to 5 foot and north winds at 10 to 25 mph. Perfect day for windsurfing. Go Doug go!

That's funny, it says "Indian" but it suspiciously acts like a Harley.....

By stalking Doug's SPOT link, I figured I had a small chance to intercept the rally participants this morning. At least if I could figure out their route, I could get some pics of them riding by.

Unfortunately, Ohio still sucks, there is no WIFI in Amish country and apparantly even SPOT only can update itself about every 45 minutes there.

I went east when I should have gone west. When I passed the sweep bike going the opposite direction, I was now about 20 minutes going the wrong way.

Head down, ears touching, I found them at the first gas station inside Indiana.

I ain't giving any details from the day, this is Doug's story to tell.

Count the people working on the Harley (a minute later, you couldn't see the bike thru all the smoke)

Now count the people working on the BMW

(but the Harley left first under it's own power)

Doug took a quick minute out of his busy schedule to pose for a pic with a fat bastard like me.

He's as nice in person as he is online.

Not bad for a 'Bama boy...

Quote of the day, as Doug took a quick look at my XR1200.

"I shoulda built the Dirtster outa the XR..."

Thanks Doug, it was well worth the gas money to shake your hand.

I may not have a team of mechanics and a fancy rv to sleep in, but as it was mentioned before, i do have a helluva support crew from all of you guys.
whether its just moral support, or helping me ship harley parts to armenia.
I do enjoy meeting everyone, and I do apologize if Im to busy to hang out for long.
I always laugh to myself when people tell me how much they like my stories.
Cuz I damn sure aint no writer!

Anyhow, thanks again, and I look forward to meeting more of you.

Ok, enough of the sentimental kiss ass bullshit.

Doug;
I remember using WD 40 in the distributor cap to remove moisture years ago. Maybe it would help your magneto.

Yup had a CJ5 that would quit in Florida downpours. I would hose down the inside of the distributer with WD40 and she would fire right up again and off we would go.
