Doug missed the police escorted convoy to the H-D museum so he asked me if I would lead him over there (with the admonition of "not too fast!").

It was fun riding the city streets with Doug and his bike looks and sounds great. I noticed he was getting a lot of attention at the stop lights.

Half way across Siberia is a little difficult on short notice.

Half way across the midwest means we skip the buffet lunch.

A lot of us would have liked to do what Charlie and Ewan did. I think a lot MORE of us would rather have done it like Doug.

You don't have to be a filthy rich movie star to ride a motorcycle.

You don't need to ride some self branded advertising campaigned slogan bike while wearing an accessory catalog.

You can ride whacha got, wear whacha own.

You can be a long-hair common man from 'Bama and be just as interesting without even trying.

Where Charlie and Ewan had to take their film crew along with their support trucks, Doug merely has to post a general route on the internet. The film crew goes to him and the support trucks are already staged across the country waiting on the phone to ring.

i went to muskegon mi to watch you guts board the ferry yesterday and i am very impressed. we heard you would come to muskegon on m-46. so we parked and waited. then we found out you gave us the slip and were at the dock. we were able to get there in time to watch you load em up. as a past indian owner i take my hat off to you. i was never impressed with most indian owners i have known due to the fact that it was all about collecting and talking not much if any riding. you put em all to shame. you guys are real riders and i wish you all the best.
