We gotta remember that Doug doesn't carry all that much gas with him, and the ETH is like 130 some odd miles between gas stations.

I would love to go all the way across the country - and back again - at 45 mph. Well, maybe without the need to replace a cylinder or two along the way.
It seems all the long-distance riding I do is on the highway at quasi-legal speeds and is just not very interesting that way. Gently tooling along the backroads would suit me better, but my schedule usually doesn't allow it. Gotta git wherever it is I'm gittin' to in a hurry, then git back home again in a hurry. Would be nice to slow down a little and soak it in. Thanks for taking us along and have a safe trip back home

It is a flathead. It's not a Scout I think it's a Chief and I don't know what year it is, not being a Indian person and it not being original. My hat is off to him for taking it where he took it as my solftail Harley wouldn't even have liked that. All that said I'm guessin Doug will stick to the Tarmac if he chooses to go through DV

That is one of Mikes retro chief bikes. He's done a number of rides on them to prove they are worthy. He just did a ride cross country to the wall and now plans on a trip to AK and then around the world much like Doug has done. But I still perfer Dougs adventures! |

Looks like there was some trouble
Doug was stopped @ Bishop Chopper followed by Kragen Auto Parts then off onto 395 again.
It's fun playing with Spot.

if you do go through death valley, gas in stovepipe wells is a LOT cheaper than in furnace creek.
