Nice bike!

That bike of yours is absolutely beautiful. Even though you have some problems with the old girl, I bet not too many bikes of todays era will be running in 84 years! Best of luck Doug!

"a guy I knbow in West Virginia who is also doing the C-ball on a 101"

Did you call Rinkers? With the right parts this shouldn't take you too long to get you back on the road.

Also think I'll shoot over the mountain to K-Falls on the 21st to see that day's leg kick off.

I got to Steves in WV ok thanks to Grigory, my Bulgarian friend from Richmond.
(he does all the leather work on my bikes)

Steve is also doing the C-Ball on a 101, and has lots of parts. he found a decent cylinder, so we honed it, found a piston, I cut down some rings to fit, lapped in some valves & installed new guides. We'll stick it on the bike in the morning, I should be back on the road tomorrow

Long day! I am sure once I get in the groove, the days will go better.
This is the first long ride with a left side throttle (had the bike for years, but never travelled on it)
my left hand & wrist is killin me!
Tomorrow to a vintage bike thing in Durham, then to the coast.
Bike is doin good, need to fix an oil leak on top of the trans shifter tower (worn bushing) and need to swap out the front sprocket for a bigger one when I get to NY (a guy is bringing me one)
This is the first time I had a speedo on it. I had no idea how slow it is!
It always FELT like I was going fast....
its doing ok at about 50mph, but Id like to get 55 out of it without revving it too much.
But I dont want it to go too fast, because the brakes SUCK!

Doug
