Yea I went down a couple times riding up at the cabin today. Worst damage was a bent rear brake lever. bent right back. good to go. This bike is a beast.

crappy video of me

http://youtu.be/tFGaJATNKAg?hd=1

...Just a crappy video of me flogging my 250L up a hill at our cabin today. It was the first time I really rode her fairly hard and she performed nicely. Bottomed out once jumping over a road, and bent my rear brake lever when I dumped it riding our mx track... yes Im getting old.

Some thoughts:

- The motor is one of the best honda motors Ive ever owned/riden. I couldnt care less that its made in thailand after the beating it got today. It performed flawlessly, shifted smoothly and positively ever time, and had a lot of grunt.
- I definitely need a smaller front sprocket. 2nd gear is way too tall stock
- The suspension was actually impressive on the few jumps we have up there and around the burms on the track we ride.
- I cannot wait for a damn pipe, it is way too quiet
- the stock tires are decent but not great on loose dirt. Still pretty damn good for a ds tire when offroad.
- I went to town to get lunch right after we rode dirt for 4 hours. its a beauiful thing

If you want to hear that engine on full song have a look at this, it may be the CBR250 but it will be interesting to see how much reliable hp they get from it.

Air filter

Anyone find a replacement air filter for sale yet. Local dealers don't even have parts list in their computers yet. I did use a cbr oil filter successfully so perhaps the cbr air filter is an option. What do think?

Different bike, but you get the idea:

Very interested in this bike, too.

2 X flats at 60km/hr

Well had a little spill on the way into work tonight. Taking a trail that runs along side of the highway. Driven it many times before with no problems. This time however I hit a nice axe head like rock, bent the forn trim slightly and flattened the tire, also flatenned the rear as well. I managed to get slowed down to about 40km/hr before I lost control and went out into the bushes, Bike is fine aside from the tires and front rim and bent aftermarket aluminum handle bars. Shoud be an easy fix, pretty impressed that there wasn;t more damage, at elast we know these little bikes are tough.

I just called up there. It's only been on the website for a couple days. It's going to be very popular, I think.

I thought that too. Until I decided it would just get beat up anyway.
