Thanks for the info Joe, I added your approximate location and the dealership with the MOSS.

I'm looking for my first trail bike, having experienced a little bit of trail riding on an overseas holiday, and loving it.

In Australia, the Husky TR650 Strada and the Honda CRF250L are about the same price. Which would be better as a first trail bike?

For the trails I would say the Honda would be a better first bike IMHO. Our TR650s do well off road but are heavy. The Honda would be easier to manuever. If you are doing mainly road riding the TR650 is a better choice.

I'm a long time lurker looking to buy a Terra, my local dealer has one for $6k otd. I was hoping for some opinions on whether or not you guys still it is a good idea to buy one given the change in ownership? I did a lot of searching with mixed results as far as how long Husqvarna will support and make parts for the bike. If husky was still owned by BMW, I would buy one in a heartbeat, as it's EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Thanks guys.

My TR is proving to be a great dual sport.

I added my location to the map.

This will have two purposes:
1. to help people locate the nearest service center with a MOSS tool
2. to allow other TR650 owners to see which other owners are around them for help or setting up group rides

The 2nd option is entirely voluntary, and I suggest only putting down a marker that shows the town or approximate location you live in, and not the exact location of your house. Maybe put the marker on your favorite eatery, bar, etc. It would be neat to get a broad idea of which part of the country TR650 owners reside in. If majority prefers, I can make the map private and only allow access to a list of people, lemme know what you think.

I went ahead and pinned myself and the nearest dealer to me with the MOSS tool.

Please use the standard 'pin' marker for designating your town, and use the star shaped symbol for marking MOSS tools.

Here is the link, feel free to collaborate.

PS
The scroll/zoom feature doesn't seem to work for some reason on my computer, so use the buttons on the bottom right of the screen to zoom in/out.
I goofed, sorry. I messed up Moto Forzas pin. Tried to fix it, only fixed half of it. Its not in the left side list anymore.

Ha, no worries. I'll get that map organized when I have time to sit down at a computer.

We have a MOSS computer in the shop at work. Have had no need for it yet, I guess I should hook it up sometime and see if it works.
