You beak lovers can play up in beasts.
![]() I'm more interested in frame sliders, spring upgrades and sticky tyres. BT023 should last 20k miles on this bike, 120 front and 160 rear. That's the best upgrade over the CBR and Ninja 300, IMO - readily available good tyres. |

I'm wondering what the X is doing in beasts. It's a pure street bike, and will probably sell better than the other two.

That said, the Versys is in both places as well. Doesn't much matter. I wanna know if my 33" legs will fit on any of these things.

My 300 is wearing a 120/150 combo right now and I'll try a 160 next time, lots of room but the wheel is only 4" so not sure if I'll like it. It wears the 150 very well, lots of good feel heeled over. |

My FZ6 is on the edge of all-day tolerable. If there's room to move around it shouldn't be too bad. I don't really stop much when I'm out riding.

![]() Good eye. Had that bike for 5 years and didn't notice this detail. It looks virtually the same.

I'm really liking this bike. Honda canada does show it as a 2013 model ( thanks Warren!). I'm more astonished that they are also bringing in the CB1100.
I have been riding my 250 Sherpa most of the season and have found it quite capable for anything I want to do, other than missing a bit of power. The 500X might be a good addition to the stable. The bike show is coming up in a few weeks, hopefully they will have one there to check out.

Honda managed to punt the 690 duke out of the European Junior Cup, and it will be run on CBR500Rs for the next couple of years.
That should be good for hop-up parts.

Thanks, Grainbelt. That news got my attention. Otherwise, these 500's are built to just too low a price point for me. IF (and that can be a stretch) we can get EU parts here in the US, the CBR500R may have some potential for me.
Edit: That's also quite a coup for Honda. The Duke 690 has an awesome suspension, which I would never imagine the stock CBR500R could match. Perhaps the change is to lower the entry cost for Junior racers, to expand the sport and not to raise the performance level?
