Those side panels do a nice job of keep direct wind/rain off the legs. They're actually functional.

Is it November 15 yet? I'm dying to see more of this bike. I'm probably going to be the first one to put a deposit on one. The Milan Show just can't come soon enough.
I hope it comes in the same red as the 2013 CBR250 but I'll take a white one too. My guess is a retail at $5,699 or $5,799. Halfway between the CBR250 and the NC700X.
Anyone noticed how 3 bottles of water were strategically placed in the so called spy shot?

I like it too. Looks promising for Honda.

Really looking forward to the reviews! Very curious what this thing will do regarding fuel consumption.

Would be the R or the X version for me. Probably the R for the fairing.

Interesting.

Is the CB500X different enough from the 700X?

It will be a smidge faster, is that enough?

They both have around 48 hp. 500 will probably a little bit faster due to lower gearing and a larger RPM range.

Both will be good bikes I guess. The 500 will be a bit more fun to ride in a spirited manner I think

I don't think those bikes have shifters on them, both those guys are looking at their feet, going these tucking bikes don't have no shifters on them.
I don't care I'm getting one, look, they already attracted some chicks . That r version does look like it's going to be fun.

Luv the idea of choices in the 500cc range, I just wish the X did not have that beak. Man I'm starting to hate those things. Function over form I guess.

I've thought beaks looked silly from the get go. I don't think they have any "function". I think they're intended to look like the high fender on a dirt bike and give the impression of ruggedness and off road prowess, i.e. looks over function.

I wonder if the tank is in the normal location on the "x" or if it still has a nifty storage area.

I like the X best of the three, especially if it gets as-good-as or better gas mileage than the 700x---and if it has that trunk.

Integrated storage is great, fuel fill under the seat is not if you plan on doing any touring. I wonder if they will offer a rack and bags for the X.
