Help: Can't get nüMaps Lifetime on to my Montana
Timeline:
On my.garmin.com I have a section in "My Maps" like this where it would like me to add it to a device. The Montana is even in the drop-down list. ![]() But when I try to add it I get a message that I should be using Garmin Lifetime Updater on my Mac. I am using that -- I have two other GPSes with lifetime maps that work great through that. ![]() nuMaps Problem 2 by Matt The Ogre, on Flickr The thing is I _know_ the map is out of date -- Garmin.com wants to sell me the new one! Lastly, if I try to add the Montana to the Lifetime Updater program I get this: ![]() nuMaps Problem 3 by Matt The Ogre, on Flickr I've written to Garmin today -- but they are closed. I'm leaving on Monday morning for a trip to Utah. Any advice?

Did you buy the DL version of the CN mapset? If so, chances are EXTREMELY good you've got the latest edition. Even if your map is one rev back, it won't make a huge difference. Go on your trip and deal with it when you get back.

If the OP bought the download version, that would not be good news from the Lifetime Update point of view. The Download and SD versions can't be upgraded. Lifetime Updates don't apply to those two map types.

Okay, point taken. I'd still let the problem sit until the trip is over, its not like the lack of an absolutely up-to-the-moment map is going to make a dent in an adventure - people have been having adventures without maps for thousands of years....

I don't disagree on that point.

The best thing to do is log into your account and have your GPS plugged in and call them. I had a problem similar to you and they fixed it on the phone.
