New Users Need Approval B.F. First Post?
I can find a lot of rules about what NOT to do, but does a new user (signed up yesterday at @2PM forum time) have to wait to be approved by a moderator before they can post?
Boxerworks has suffered yet ANOTHER melt-down, and a good friend from there is looking at ADVrider as a new base for abuse. I would have sent a PM to a moderator, but I could not find a link to a contact, either. What do you expect? I've only 14 (now 15) posts in 9 years... Thanks. I am pretty sure the noobs handle is "ChuckQ". He was Chuey on B'works.

So, he may make a post or two, but they won't show up for a few days, is that correct?
Don't worry - we have both been around long enough to know the need for security. Damn spammers. And thank you for your fast reply!

We clear out the new posts / threads when we can. It has to be done manually. Spammers die a fast death here, thanks for the help of inmates who report those we miss.

I talked to my friend Chuck (real name).
He is NOT ChuckQ. He originally registered as 'Chuey' on 03-01-2009, but he never posted and he does not remember the password. He claims to have gotten a successful registration in on Monday evening (San Diego time) as 'Chuey 23'. I don see no 'Chuey 23' in the list of inmates. Probably because he has not passed muster yet. At the very least, could you reset his password for his old handle ('Chuey')and PM it to me? Or suggest where we go from here. :) Thank you for your help!

Troubles creating new thread
Man I feel computer illiterate trying to post my bike for sale. Posted it this morning and decided to edit and add embedded pics. Now nothing comes up when I click on my post. I said the heck with it and started from scratch again and my second new new thread is not showing up. Thx!

Just keep posting to your ride report thread, and they will be approved, and your moderated status will be lifted.
Spam posts by domestic and overseas spammers are time consuming for the mod squad. Confirmed spammers also get reported to stopforumspam.com's database. Sorry the initial inconvenience to noob inmates. It only lasts for less than a dozen posts.
