Then you will have someone else about 100" behind you hootin and hollering and taking so long you pull over and stop to see what the heck all the noise is about, maybe i have a flat tire or a baby carriage is hooked to my bike, only to have them whack you with their hand as they go by... that would be a "C" passer

I was wondering if I passed like a C rider actually
A wise friend of mine told me long ago, not to try and make time in a tough section of trail. You're only going to lose time, as you found out in that mud hole. That event was like Russian roulet (sp?), you never knew when some ding dong was going to crash in front of you I crashed more that day than I have in three years That mudhole was about 1/4 mile from where I passed you the second time right?

First pass yes because you were in a hurry to crash
2nd pass B rider, would have been an A but I deducted a grade due to contact
3rd pass B rider, due to hootin and hollering

Not sure on distance but it took 3-5 minutes for me to get caught up to you

"Go fast in the fast parts, and slow in the slow parts" is how it was explained to me.

See, that comment doesn't make sense. First pass, as in the start line? So, how would you have avoided that crash? The guy took me out and I left my Jedi powers in the glove box (they're heavy), so no levitation moves to pull. Maybe I'm missing something? That mudhole was a clusterfuck, two people dumped in there and clogged everything up. I basically sat there waiting for them to get out of the way. For the record, I don't hoot and holler when I'm racing, only for guys I know as encouragement. I tend to be patient and wait for an opening. Letting people know you're behind them usually makes them try to go faster. I find it's better to just go by them but don't listen to me, that was only my third Hare scramble.

Are you watching the same video that I am? Get a bigger screen. He was already on the ground when you hit him. Difficult to avoid no doubt when you're at full throtle headed for the first turn. I'd guess that some A riders would have wheelied over him.

An A rider would have eaten him on the way by, like an energy bar.

What's really odd, is that I swore that the guy hit me but I was so red misted that I didn't realize that he crashed in front of me until i watched the video.
I also didn't even know I took the guy out to my left, had no idea, didn't even feel it I guess what they say about eye witness testimony is true.
Hey Greg, did you know that Kenny beat you to the first turn at the Leyden Enduro?

I did know that. Passing guys makes me feel fast, and since I'm not that fast, passing doesn't come easy, letting him go first so I could pass him and feel like a hero was all part of the plan. I do regret not yelling and bumping him on the way by.
