The Kawasaki KLE we named Ripley, for the Sigourney Weaver character in Alien: She's a tough little bitch who never lets you down.

The Supertenere we named Tom, for Tom Ripley, ie the Talented Mr Ripley. Cause he's a mean bitch.

I heard it from a friend, who … heard it from a friend, who … heard it from another you’ve been messin’ around [popular song].

Then I told two friends … and they told two friends … and so on, and so on, and so on. [TV commercial]

When correctly viewed, everything is lewd – I could tell you ‘things’ about Peter Pan, and the Wizard of Oz is a Dirty Old Man. [‘60s satire]

SR500, KLX, and ZeFAR... the latter being the pronunciation some guy used when talking about my bike when we were at a flat track race. I guess it's kind of the "redneck" version of Zephyr.

I just never quite gave my bikes credit for having any sort of living traits, although sometimes it might seem that way. Just never suited me to literally name them... although I have been known to call them some obscene named when they do seem to take on those traits, like not starting or having a flat tire, or something isn't working right on them.
Ever get lost? You know, that good kind of lost - come to a dirt road intersection and you have no idea where you are or which way to turn? I like when that happens!

After 42 bikes or so, I don't name them. But I referred to my Sportster, as, the piece of shit, because it was a piece of shit. Nothing wrong with it. Just had shitty brakes, was slower than shit, didn't turn well at all, and was, in general, a piece of shit.
