1981 Yamaha Maxim 650 - "Haymama" (one of the many owners before me had taken the YAMAHA logos off both sides of the tank and combined them into HAYMAMA on one side. Took me about a month to notice. Hard to ignore after that.)

2007 Aprilia Tuono - The Wasp (ever seen that generation of Tuono from head-on?)

Still got a couple months to go before I get the GS Adventure, but her name will probably be The Sacred Cow. Seems appropriate in general, but considering the jump in size between that and what I've had previously, it's especially so.

Meet Nina. 1. Because she's German.
2. Because I dig the chick that sings 99 red balloons.

My '72 toaster tank is the black bike or the old bike.
My '94 R1100RSL (totaled) was the red bike or the new bike.
My '07 R1200GS (replaced the RS) is the grey bike or (now) the new bike.
I like to think I'm quite creative. Maybe not so much!

Ripley? Man, that is perfect. I may have to steal that.

My "Ninja" 650 is currently called, well, The Green Flash. Yeah, it's really my bike that's an AdvRider member, and not me.

Now, I knew that "Flash' wasn't really her name. But the family wanted to know what to call it. What with the bike being Kwacker Racing Green and me having spent many evenings of my youth hanging around California beaches at sunset waiting to see the legendary, illusive Green Flash (which BTW I never did), the name was almost inevitable. It was also meant to be pretty ironic, 'cause I'm not very fast.

Now, "Flash" is certainly not the prettiest bike. It's also not the fastest, which is fine since I've become a bit leery of fast women. However, it has ALWAYS gotten my sorry ass home. Even when I've dropped it, it's gotten me home. We'll see, but right now it seems a rechristening may be in order. "Ripley" sounds real good.

I have owned alot of bikes and had never named one until i bought the GSA.
Her name is Elka.
My latest K bike was named by my GF. Kandi for the sweetness that it is.
My Big Ruckus is called BRandy. The BR is self evident and i would never ride a girl this ugly so it had to be andy.

If I still had every dollar I spent on motorbikes I would be a richer man but a poorer person.

The Mule

I load the crap out of it . take it into the mountains, drive it as hard as i can, for as long as I can. And all it needs is a little fuel and some occasional TLC.

No matter how hard I drive it,or how heavy I load it, it does the work every time.
I love my Mule!!
