Awesome video. I need to practice.

Yikes! Not too difficult with turns on the same side as the sidecar, much more difficult going the other direction. Starting and stopping are going to be pretty hard on that rim. I would have kept the tire on (using zip ties or bailing wire) to protect the rim at least.

I can't see him getting too far with the wheel off the ground. I think I'd have cobbled up a tree limb under the hack.

Obviously a guy wanting to boast about the incredible tyre mileage he achieves on his rig.

I'd probably put on my spare wheel in that situation....

What happens if he loses balance and touches down at speed?

Could be an interesting video, no?

The rim mileage is another story.

He has the weight redistributed, and his form is good going into the left hand corner. He's gonna get tired, and the passenger may run out of patience, otherwise, gonna be really funny looking tire wear. I can roll to a stop and set my outside wheel(a 250 dirt rig), so with a little space to maneuver I bet he can avoid rim damage. But I agree, duct tape the remains of the tire, and anything else handy on there, give yourself a little more room for error. I rode home 6 miles on a bicycle tire packed with pine needle.... Just not very fast.
