Rea got a good result. Better than Ducatis and only couple tenths behind Dovi.

sorry for the hijack. we now resume the regular speculation regarding bikes with sticky tires and which spaniard will win tomorrow...

Wow...That was a great story! Thanks very much for the link and I encourage everybody to read it.

It was none other than Bob Hannah who let Broc by to let him win the championship that year at the last round. According to the story, Bob had a 25 second lead on the last lap when he got that sign, and he cried about his part in it later.

My guess is that moment changed the Hurricane forever, and he went on to dominate his sport. Maybe he changed us too.

PS: it wasn't a hijack. It was really great history!

Sorry, I can't quite get a way from the hijack yet. Isn't that Keith McCarthy holding the pit board?

Last year, similar conditions, 2 bikes were out and 1 went off on the first lap.
It's fair to think there will be some attrition during the race, especially the first time through the difficult turn 1,2 complex. Pedrosa has a history of losing places through here. Rea must be at higher risk as well. He promises to be in the mix through turn one anyway.

Spies had a great start. He could gain positions here, perhaps at the expense of Cal, who will likely drift back rather than forward. Abraham and Barbera are always trouble.

Hayden, Rossi and Dovi look to disappoint. So all my hopes ride with Ben Spies and that there is one scary prospect.

Go Ben! Give em hell.

J-Lo, Spies, Pedrosa 1,2,3 in the warm-up. But Pedrosa only pulled that out on the last lap. He's been pretty seriously inconsistent this weekend, no? Only at the end of each session has he set times near the quickest, and spent the rest of his time down in 5-6-7th. Is he just hustling and hiding his speed for the race..?
