If I do I do, if I don't...well I don't. First time with bags on this bike, first time on a ride like this, will likely be quite the adventure,

What ever it was it looks like they had fun. Anybody that didnt dump their GS just wasnt trying hard enough.

I gotta say the rear wheel thing was unexpected. In the 09 PB300 Rudy and I came upon a bike that had gredaded his rear wheel, parts all over the freaking place, but a whole wheel? How does that even happen?

Ya thats the thing. Everybody says soft bags but my Aluminum boxes make the bike easy to stand up. I have done it both ways and I still cant decide. I am running out of time too because IT IS ALMOST JUNE!

I have the BBA this weekend and then a comunity event the next weekend then Special Olympics, I work there every year. Then it is off the Canada. Cr@p, I better get some tires mounted!!!

Just got back from pre riding a section of the route. I havent had many opportunities to get out this season due to moving houses, work, etc....damn was that fun. This years route has some very cool sections....the part I rode tonight is one of them. For most folks this section will be after riding for 2-4 hours into day one (the folks that take 4 hours to get here can bet the sweep will catch them )

There are two or three sections on day one where the sand gets pretty deep..lean back, lean way back

Some fun cruisy two track trails through the forest

A few spots where 4x4's have dug some pretty deeps ruts. No biggie when its dry but when its wet and they are full of water they can catch you out pretty quick. Fingers crossed we get nice weather this year

A few spots on the route where trails cross major train tracks. No lights or anything...so I would highly encourage everyone to stop and look both ways

Monday a group of us intend to do a good day of pre riding, then a full weekend planed the first weekend of June. We'll be bring saws with us as there are some known trees across the trail in a few spots. All in all things here are very dry, water levels are late summer levels....that being said one or two hard days of rain (which are notorious in June) can and will change the landscape pretty quickly...

The sand dunes of the Great Canadian Desert! I can't wait!

I just got notification that my new tent was shipped this evening. Last night I solved a problem I was having with the rear lights on my bike. Today I even figured out what I need to fabricate to mount up my Dirt Bagz pannier racks on my F650 with an aftermarket exhaust.. Things are coming together nicely!

Unfortunately I may be spending this weekend working on bikes more than riding them. I probably won't make it up to the Big Bike Adventure 2-day ride in MA this Saturday and Sunday that a number of you RR'ers were planning to attend. Have a great weekend! I may still show up for the Sunday ride; possibly Saturday night camping as well. It's unlikely but we shall see..
