Hi Rudy,

The side racks are from Rally Raid, KTM Twins carry them too if I'm not mistaken. I still plan to use my GL bag with them.

The tail rack is my own bastardization of a Touratech tailrack, combined with the SW Motech wide plate rack designed to be used in conjuction with the SW Motech tail rack linked in my signature line.

That combination was what I was hoping to have for the RR last year, but did not arrive in time. Now that I finally bought an angle grinder, it's like I think I'm Jesse James or something.

I had plenty of room with mine too. Rudy, just pull the passenger pegs, and put the pins back in. It makes a great rearward lower hold for the straps. Of course, the biggest PIA with a GL, and 690 combo is the refueling stops take seemingly for ever because of the rear gas tank fill..

I totally agree, what a pita to refill. Deadly and I went on a 6 day adventure 3500km's... He sat and watched the show 3 to 4 times a day for six days... gear off, gear on, gear off , gear on.... oh 200 km, time to gear off...... I have a safari tank now, so gear off every 500km or so.

I was thinking, if you had the rraid gas cap, connected a 12 inch tube then capped that. that tube would come up through the gear to fill. just a thought...
