Main bearing...

I'll be checking the main bearing when I put in the Rekluse! I'll be using this for the occasional trail ride in the tight technical stuff (selling the 200 EXC) but want to keep the tall street gearing for the rest of the time. Slipper clutch to the rescue.

Si!

That's what I used to locate the 640. It just "happened" to be on the way to a location where I was working a few weeks ago. Gee, what a coincidence! Didn't hurt that he was so freaking far from anything that I think he was having trouble selling it. Worked for me... it followed me home in the trailer.

Mosquitoes?

Are the skeeters and black flies bad during June? I'm trying to figure out what to pack.

I think you should count on packing your own mosquitos and black flies.

As I recall, it was the deer flies that got to us, while waiting on an oil delivery

So, we lit a signal fire to keep them at bay, and, being so far north, to stay warm

I can dream... since I probably can't do the RR this year.

Questions?

(1) Adding a 1gal Rotopax fuel container to extend fuel range. What are the planned distances for fuel stops.
(2) Are there stops along the route to replenish food supplies or do we need to pack everything in?
(3) When will the route be published so we can begin planning?

Thanks!

That looks like a hell of a ride if one can find the time to do it in one outing. For those that know.....is it safe to assume that a 1200 GS is a poor choice to consider?
If done on a bike like an XR 650r i would think a valve check along the way would be necessary. What is the weapon of choice to enjoy a ride/terrain like this?

Trying to keep my mind occupied til June!
