I had a DR BIG from 1988 to get my permit, loved biking, sat on a 990 once, so I bought the 990R ..

I just wanted the best from the beginning, this bike will stay with me for a long time so some "lifemarks" ain't a problem.
I dropped it already 6 times in the dirt..and picked it up.. no worries..

so, just go for it! ( but just don't stop using your brain when you're on it :) )

My 990 ADV was also my first 'big' adv bike. Previous attempts for touring ard SE Asia was on my humble drz-sm.
All in all, no regrets or whatsoever. No need for the worry of too much power or what not. U'll L O V E it!!!

my wife has take her driving licens this sommer on a ktm duke 690r!
she has never drive befor.
now when she sold the duke she bught a 990adv
she struggles lite but its work
she ride whit us men in lighter dirt

so hit it and drive saftly you will not regrat it
