any opinions out there regarding the best choice for toura tech zega pro panniers on a 2011 R1200GS?
I want to avoid the extreme size of the 45 L and go with the 38L but i am noticing the 38L when paired with the 31L on the exhaust size causes a one and half inch difference from the center of the bike. therefore it might look imbalanced at the least or at worst might cause issues.
or i could go with 38L and a cutout style 38L for the exhaust and these would be equal distance from center.
any experience out there as to which is the better choice?

I have the 45L special Mount system on my 2011 GS and it worked fine on a 3500 mile trip from Germany to Turkey and back.

Just mounted the 45L bags on my 2012 GS, except the one on the left has the cut out for the exhaust. My son has the smaller bags on his GS. I'm glad I got the larger set. With the cutout, the bags extend the same distance on each side of the bike. If you get the left bag without the cut out, it will be 1.5 in. wider on the left. Looks weird IMHO.
