The Ultimate Sidecarist
"U-Bear", one of the toughest sidecar riders on the planet, has been down and out for the past couple of months.
. Sounds like he is back on the road to recovery. ![]() He is on the top of my list when it comes to extreme bikers. ![]() My Brother (an MOA Ambassador) met a "guy" riding a BMW/sidecar through an icy snowstorm years ago in Montana. My Bro. offered him a place to take a break but the "guy" was on a mission to get to Co. regardless of the weather. The roads were icy / slick and darkness was coming on. I visited with my brother about an extreme sidecarist I had been in contact with.... My Bro. dug out an old business card given to him by the "guy" and sure enough it was Hubert. In any event, Hubert is on the mend and I hope he is healthy and back on the road soon. 3 cheers for Hubert! ![]() http://thetimelessride.com/index.htm

I've been following U-Bear's reports for years now. He's really something else ! Who else has gone to the north by sidecar to ride frozen rivers besides him ?
He quit work in the winter to ride his sidecar and weent north from N.Y.C. to the Yukon, not something that ordinary people do. And his trips in South America left no unexplored avenues either.2 and a half years worth . It sounds like he is on his way to recovery. I certainly hope that's the case. Ride on U-Bear , you rock !

Since staying with some locals in Mongolia, he has always made sure they have a load of coal delivered for the Winter. That is a BIG deal for the recipients. His heart is huge and he always "walks the walk." |
