agree. I try to travel this way as much as I can. The trip is going to take YOU no matter how hard you try....

unfortunately, it's not always possible.

I've always been baffled by pirates and squids, they turn riding into an act of frustration by trying to maintain a parade formation or fast pace at times and in places that are beyond reason, without consideration for the rest of the world..

A faking men. well said.

yeah my dad always used to say that when we were traveling and it always annoyed me as a kid (as good advice usually does) until the lightbulb goes on and you realize the old man was (always) right.

It's especially true if you've ever been anywhere in Asia.

If it was to the point where I was so frustrated that I felt the need to pass someone on the inside in their lane. I'd relish the opportunity to have words with them later.

The worst fucking group of riders I have ever had the misfortune to ride with.

My sisters started to ride a few years back and were "well trained" buy these fuckers......the FAT peice of shit in particular.(who just had to have his shit sounding stereo on his hardley cranked in the hotel parking lot)
I rode with my sisters a cpl times (they lived about 6 hours away) and was SHOCKED how close they rode to me in town , on the hi-way, in heavy or light traffic they stayed withing 5 feet of me. They were both very tense in their riding position and looked very uncomfortable....and worried. When we stoped I told them they were wayyy too close. "But George says we need to stay really close as not to get seperated or cars between us"

SO anyhow...fast foreward a year and they come through town the first day of a 2 week ride.(the above pictures)
I was going to follow them for a 60k section then hit the dirt and make my way back home(the SE is mine).
After about 40 k I realized that someone is going to get killed the way they are riding and I booked off early.
The stupidest fucking thing they did was to pass a huge line of traffic (cars, trucks and semis) over a short period at arround 145- 160kph (limit is 90k). This 2 lane road opens to 4 lane shortly after and regular traffic usuall boot's up to 120 to pass everyone but everyone stays in the same position. Well these shitheads get into the 4 lane and all of a sudden slow right down to about 5kph and try to have a conversation between them. Meanwhile my sisters start wobbling and weaving all over the the road not knowing what the hell to do ....I didn't even know what the hell to do because surley there must be something seriously wrong fore someone to be doing this
I look back and hear comes the traffic just fucking flying. I yelled to them to get the fuck going and they finally did but slow enough to cause havoc in the 2 lanes of traffic coming up behind us.
I was amazed that no one got killed on that 2 week ride. My 1 sister said fuck it on the 2 day with them and "rode her own ride" for 2 weeks.

If you allow someone to frustrate and suck you into a bad decision while riding......................your doing it wrong.

Encounter an obstacle you are unable to overcome? don't worry, thats what they invented U-turns and beer for.
