the only thing that could have made this trip better would be a 30 year old Honda Night hawk with shaft drive .
80 miles on a tank of gas is about right for a bike this size running the interstate .
bet it didnt use as much oil when you slowed down on the 2 lane roads eaither .
want to run the interstate ....get a bigger cc bike 1000 cc wouldnt breath hard at 80 mph
great RR ...

clearing things up

Before any rumors get started, I am NOT married and it says no such thing on my facebook profile...there must be another Anna out there, imagine that.

And, I am working on the next post, just struggling to make my ends meet so I'm working a lot right now and having a hard time finding the time to write.

On a side note, I would just like to announce to ADV how happy I am to be receiving a new fender for the radian from someone that has read the report and is generously donating it to me all the way from Canada and for free.

"Just pay it forward," he said. Which is exactly what I plan to do and hope I am partially doing with this report. It may be slow, but it will be done.

Thanks everyone for all your support and following along.

Okay, we have our update so now anyone want to join me in giving the OP some time for other things? I'm sure she'll get back to the RR. She seems like a person who finishes what she starts. Ixnay on the relationship stuff too, in my opinion. That kind of thing can get creepy fast so let's not go there. If she wasn't such a great writer we wouldn't be jonesing for more of her story, but let's give her the space she needs to write it.

OH Anna,

You know people get impatient when you haven't written to us! Thanks for explaining, though not necessary! Take your time because your writing is impeccable.

Congrats on your new fender! Hope you're continuing to ride that bike of yours.

Shan

Role model?

I just wanted to let you know that I just recently returned to ADVRider and found your post while searching for a NC to CA and back RR.

I read through 14 pages and then realized, I need to read this to my 6yr old daughter.

Over the past few nights, instead of Lindsay the Luck Fairy, or Dr. Seuss, or Curious George, I have been reading your ride report and showing he the pictures. Every night she is very excited to hear more of your journey.

Like so many others that have responded to your RR, I just want to compliment you on your journey, and urge you to explore your talent (story telling/human emotions and motorcycling) to find you true passion in life. As we all know, it can be a very short trip, there is no need to be ride it sans passion.

It's amazing how fast rumors can get started..
I've been in from the get go. Patiently waiting for the next installment.
Thanks Anna, for straightening us out though. Ha
