pre-riding for a little bike route

If anyone is interested in coming along, PM me. I'm trying to work out the dates I can make it with the missus (someone has to watch the dog).

So far the only weekend between now and Cro-Mag when I could possibly do it would be the weekend of Aug 31. I can do mid week any time after 8/25. Sooner is better since it might require some secondary scouting missions to complete a route that keeps the savages happy. As of now, I think I may head up to Silver Lake sometime between 8/26 and 8/29 and stay for the weekend if anyone else is planning on joining then. If I get no takers, I'll go midweek and try to find gnarly stuff solo.

Upon further review after checking the SIlver Lake Park website, the ONLY time that I can make it work is either 8/19-8/21 or sometime between 8/25 and 8/31. The park closes on Monday 9/2 and is sold out for that weekend so I/we would have to check out on Sat 8/31 unless there is a cancellation. Let me know if you can make it for any or all of those days. . .

The park in Quechee is open through foliage, if not longer. If you need another option that is not too far away. Most of the parks close on labor day, but not all. I think Quechee is the closest though that is still open.

I figured there were some parks open, but it would be nice to have the route done before Sep. If need be, I'll look into other parks for later dates. . . Or maybe that Silver Lake Ranger wouldn't mind a little company just after closing time.

Have you seen Mike's new Rally Navigator software? You can print full on roadbooks direct from google earth or GPX files. Go look at the Tales From the Bivouac facebook page
