Yea, I knew you had dates mixed up but I didn't want to mess up your trip! I have seen Apocalypto to many times and dont wish the Mayan sacrifice upon anyone. Enjoying this, keep it coming!

Today I am riding to Palenque. First, I say good bye to a couple from down under. See you ob the road Yan and Bob!

On the way to palenque, I meet another couple on a adventure journey to Argentina.

Erin and Zack are from California. I decide to play the third wheel.

We went to Palenque together.

Next day we rode to Escacega and had breakfast.

Erin and Zack went toward Belize, I rode to Campeche.

I found the only hostel with interior parking. Hostal Pirata is not the most valued, but they have the best parking option for motos.

Today I am riding to Merida.

I stop by Edzra. Edzra is not as popular with tourist. They only begun to excavating here 50 years ago. They still don't know the full scale of these sites.

A ball court...

The goal post....

The player....

On the road I stop by here.

And arrive at Merida. I sleep here.

They have own gated parking.

Night at Merida....

Left Merida and rode to Chitchen Itza. I couldn't find a decent lodging there, so I continue to Valldolid.

I found very nice hostel in Valldolid. Also met a bicycle traveler from Japan. He is going all the way down and around.

Today I visit Chitchen Itza. Everyone is there for the big END.

They built this road for the big hole near by.

Not much has changed since.

At the end of the road, the big hole.

Chitchen Itza has the biggest ball court in Mayan world.

The new world has begun. The old has gone.

I wake up and see this.

Today I leave Mexico. I go to Chetumal crossing.

This man asks me for the exit fee.

I decline. At the end, I cross the border without paying. What he wanted to see was the receipt for the visa fee. More to this "exit fee".

Now I am in Belize. It is a beautiful country with equally beautiful people.

Belizians love their manicured lawn.

I go to San Ignacio.

I see this in front of the police station. 25.000 USD, a policeman says.

I sleep here tonight.

I enjoy this place so much, I decide to spend the rest of year here.

Their rice is delicious, pepper hot, weather warm, and women friendly.
Why not stay?
