I may be mistaken but it looks like Cyril is catching up to Kuba, he may want to lead this as early as possible today and do his own navigating, hoping the others don't catch up....

Yet when you ride with Sam (before he disappears into the desert in front of you) he always seems relaxed, chilled but always driven to just goooooo. Oh yeah , always smiling.

Cyril has closed about 5 seconds to the 08:42:00 minute marker... a huge closure!

Cyril's and Kuba's time stamps are 2 minutes apart most of the time so they look like they're at the same position. So on the map they either seem to be at the same position (2min interval) or at very far apart (4 minutes)

Screw you, time-space continuum!

and the same to the 08:47:00 time stamp...

I'd say they are level pegged (remember Cyril started two minutes behind) so they are running (almost) exactly two minutes apart physically on the course.

Yep, CdP made up the 2 minute gap.
With that pace he'll probably choose to open the road.

Nah, Troy's right, where their icons meet on the map you'll see a roughly 2 minute difference, minus about 5 or 7 seconds...

Looks like Kuba is holding his lead quite well!

No he hasn't... Despres is (almost exactly) two minutes behind Pryzgonski*... who is at this moment first man into the oued (dry river)... reverse of yesterday's direction.

*Actually Pryzgonski has pulled out som time on Cyril to the river bed...
