G'morning everyone.

The universe is still in order :) Coma is navigating, Despres is following, Helder is following faster, Barreda on fire, faster still.

Sunderland is 42 seconds behind Zanol. That's still pretty fast old boy, Zanol really flying.

Great to see Honda 1 & 2 but its still sooooooo early, hope the bikes run well.

Looks like they are skirting around the west of the Erg - on the flat hard fast terrain... not going through the big dune field (as the optimal tracking line shows on the map)...?

maybe that has been saved for tomorrow?

PS I wouldnt call the world in order with Barreda and Rodrigues in 1 and 2 Cyril 3rd and Coma in 5th.

I would say a change is a coming.

They are doing the east track that goes around the erg, Coma at 130 km/h. Definitely not traversing the erg.

Yes, though they might still cross that short bit to get back on the route. Or Maybe mustache man is looking for his spare wheel?

Hello Carlos

Interesting to See Fretigne some distance off the pace. I guess he does not want to crash again and is taking it easy. Frans Verhoefen also not super fast this morning. Showing their age maybe?

Dunno about Viladoms, Brody, anyone else maybe now where he is?

It appears that Mike Comba is headed in thru the small dunes to hit the CP at Merzouga... while Helders tracking indicates he is staying on the hard pack and heading down around the bottom of the dune field.

Navigational drama!!! Shit if we had this tracker thing at Dakar, a lot of the F5'ers would collapse before the rest day!

Ahhh, I finally got the Iritrack to display by CP rank. My F5 skills need honing, I had no idea what you were talking about Barreda and Rod. And I didn't want to ask a frigging n00b question like someone on January 3rd.

Here's the link by Rank.
