Replacing Givi Lid

Can someone tell me how to get hinge pins out on e36 or e45 cases?
I tapped lightly on the pins, but didn't want to break something.
Thanks,
Mark

If you can't fix it I might be interested in buying the broken bag. I need a givi base.

I have the E21 and had to replace just the case and I was able to use a drive pin punch and tap the pin out. It is certainly doable with being patient especially if you have a painted lid as I do.
