Lake Kachess to Whisky Jack's - HOW?

Friend has a cabin up on Lake Kachess, heading to the lodge from there, this Sunday.

Lake Kachess to Whistlin' Jack lodge

Chinook Pass Highway (410)

A good DS route needed for this Sunday. Ideas?

I just rode this last Saturday on the Easton Dual Sport ride, the first half was from Easton to Hwy 410. I will check my gps tonight and grab the GPX file. By then someone else may have responded, I will check back tonight and see if you had anyone else respond.

Nice! What should we allow time-wise there and back with a stop at the lodge? What is the trail like?

you can make it as technical or as easy as you want, same goes with time schedules.
Via Tacoma pass is an easy dirt road ride, or you can hit the numerous trails and work your way to Jacks taking most of the day.
Im not positive but I think you can find the entire marked trail system online.
Sorry I know the way, but its in my head by point of ref, not trail #s

I did the big bike ride last weekend so it was all roads for the most part. I don't know that trail system very well but the trails looked fun from what I did see. Can't wait to take my smaller bike and ride the trails soon.

If you want a roll chart from the Easton-Jacks dual sport ride for the big bikes You can have mine. I swept the big bike loop and still have it. Just drop by. I live by the post office in Easton. PM me if you want it, and we can make arrangements.

Did it! Pretty tame ride, side trails are ALL short logging landing areas until you get close to Whisky Jacks - then there are a ton of mysterious trails, many of which are closed. Guy at the Shell station at Whisky said a flood ("6 inches of rain in an hour 2 yrs ago last May") had closed many of them due to damage.

You need better maps. The trails are long and can be technical, certainly not the direct route but some very good riding. heres a tread with a few small maps.

90% of the route had very lame & identical log trails. It appears the riding is to be done closer to Whisky than not.
