Can someone help me decide what seat to get?

I have a new FJR and I want to get the seat sorted out over the winter. I have No Ass Syndrome or NAS and a bad seat will make a bike pretty much unridable after 200 miles. Even Goldwings give me problems. Anyway,

This is exactly what I want:

It was done by Rich in WA:

I was about to get ready to send off my seat when I found this local guy, about an hour away:

I sent Steve that pic above and he said he can make one just like it. But I can't imagine it being identical. The advantage for me is I can ride up there, several times if I have to and test ride it and have changes made far easier than shipping it back and fourth to WA. Is local the the way to go no question?

FWIW, I an not interested in a Russel or Corbin. I've tried both and looking to go a different route.

Too bad you don't ride an enduro of some sort, then the answer would be easy, Get a Renazco seat. I have 3 motorcycles, two have a Renazco seat, the other I never ride.

James is an expert but I'm not sure if he does seats like that.

Congrats on the new FJR, I bet that baby really clicks off the miles, I almost bought one back in 07. Good luck with your seat search. A quality seat is important to me too.

On my last couple of bikes I've just taken the seat/s along to our local custom seat guy
And showed him a pic,he covered it in multi layer foam gave it back for testing.
then when happy he covered it in marine grade covering, all for a few hundred dollars.
It felt firm the first trip I did but now fits me perfect.
