HAHA....."A dick collision". now thats funny.

I stayed behind to give the guy a chance , I didn't want to dust him out ,roost him or freak him out by a SUPRISE pass..
This road goes to 1 small lake and it continues about 6 k or so then narrows down to a 4x4 road. The 2 forks in the road go to farm houses and he passed the 2 forks(that I figured he would pull over in or slow into).
Looked like the only reason he stopped was to beak off to my riding bud.
It wasn't really a dangerous pass as like I said the road is plenty wide enough for full size trucks to pass in opposite directions.
I think JEEP guy just didn't want to drive in the dust , and that wouldn't have been a prob cuz in less than 30 seconds we would have been out of site...as I was.
We stopped at the lake (about 8k further) for a prety long time and he still wasn't there yet.

Your story is inconsistent,

If he was actively blocking you or otherwise trying to interfere with your passing, and you needed to gun it to make it, you made a bad decision to enter an unsafe condition. Escalating a road rage situation is always stupid.

If he wasn't blocking you on a road wide enough for trucks to pass each other, why would you need him to pull over so you could pass on a motorcycle? Why would you need to gun it?

If you had to gun it because he tried to block you after you initiated a otherwise safe pass, then he merely suffered the consequences of his own stupidity.

Which is it?

I could easily see why you did what you did, but if you think about this rationally, you would probably not do it again. Why provoke road rage? I would be tempted to roost the sucker, but in the end he is driving 4000 weapon, why risk your well being for a moment of payback?

your definition of "enough room" is probably different to his and making him move over would have been forcing him to do something he didnt feel comfortable with, whats the rush anyway lol
I disagree totally. We have those 1-1/2 lane roads here, WTF do you think happens if two cars come along in opposite directions ?. They just sit there until both drivers die of old age ?

You both ease to your side of the road and slow down. If you want to drive those roads you HAVE to know how to do that - that driver was lucky it wasn't a loaded truck and trailer unit or a cop behind him instead of a bike ;)

Not saying I'd do what happened here, I'm usually more patient - but the driver in front was being a dick - possibly not doing anything illegal, but on the other hand there's a "not driving with due care and attention" thing the cops use as a catch all for situations like that here.

And if it was a full two lanes wide, the driver was driving illegally anyway.

The roosting was uncalled for, as it was done with the intention of destruction to another's property. I kind of put it up there with keying someone's car because they double-parked. You can be pissed at the person, but it's still vandalism on your part.

Roosting the Jeep wasn't necessary, and helped ensure the guy will have a shitty opinion of motorcyclists and so will everyone he talks to about it. He will not be a terribly big supporter of us in any fight for land use now.

If he's not going to fight to keep land open to ohv, then he's cutting off his nose to spite his face. Whatever. Support from douche-bags, we don't need.
