Jeez, I'm a lucky bastard!
A few months after buying back my original '88 DR750 back, my KX500 that I got new in 1984 popped up for sale!
The deal has been done and in a couple of weeks it will be back in my shed once again. ![]() Here it is in the 80's ![]() And here it is now. ![]() Plenty of work to be done, but how lucky am I to be able to get back 2 bikes that I owned 25 years ago!

When I sold the KX in 1987, I kept the tank. Then, 13 years later, my shed burned down and took that tank with it.

That is one beastly looking bike. I love it!
I had a KX80 from a similar year when I was a teenager, that I bought as a basket case and fixed up. Someday I like to get another vintage 2-stroke... Congrats on the find(s). |
