I'd say 90% of us here know who that is. His presence at the past few D2D's was more than welcome. If someone wants to be there to share the camaraderie, but because they have lived, and are not comfortable riding that long distance anymore, trailer away!

There are a couple of guys that have/had/will trailer a bike to D2D, we/they know who they are, and they don't need an excuse.

...I could go on. Your methods may vary, you get what you pay for, et al.

Excellent, it'll be good to see you there. Glad you're not playing in the sandbox.

Thanks for comment regarding my recovery; I do appreciate it.

I think you are way off base concerning the people "with arms folded standing on the deck at the Downtown hotel." ( I do not deny that some, maybe most are assholes, but that is another story. And who among us has not been an AH at some point?) Many are the folks that put in long hours to make D2D happpen. If you don't think it takes a lot of effort to make a non-rally happen then you are just plain wrong. Ask my wife about volunteering to help and you'll learn a little. And as to those who arrive in a cage and trailering a bike; have a little heart. Not everyone enjoys good health; give'em credit for being there despite the hurtles that age throws up in front of us all. I may be caging it myself this year.

Three times you've attended. Must be something you enjoyed.

IMHO...if you have nothing good to say about it, keep it buttoned up!

As someone else has said, been 3 times...? Must be something worth the trip, no?

Maybe those with their arms folded were just tired of your company???

Am an asshole too sometimes and get the same treatment.....so .....Hmmmmm....?

I have been twice and will be going a thrid time next season 2014 unless they move it without telling me....lol. I find 99% of the people are good folks where they trailer or not. The dress up old BMW is owned by a great old boy with from what I could gather some health issues and was smart enough to trailer it rather than risk the long ride. A sensible thing to do. No body knocked him or anyone that I could see for trailering their bikes.....Now if you're healthy and a youngster and still trailered it, then I can see you may get some ribbing...but for the others....not a chance from the guys I saw there. When he unloaded I saw nothing but good people all looking to help out.

Sorry to go on, but your post is the only one I can think of that has been so negative about this great event!

Yes it is the ride to get there that is so special, but when you add the hundreds of like minded folks who do think it's a great event put on by some very dedicated guys and gals, it's very hard to top it IMHO!

There ya Dick ya prick.....standing up for you again.....not that you need any help being a prick.....lol.
See ya next year....can't wait!

Besides, one ride in the Maxi Pad and you'll be trailering too.

That said, I'll chime in on my thoughts, Most I met were self absorbed a-holes with the attitude "Hey look at me I just rode to D2D" with arms folded standing on the deck at the Downtown hotel, Sure there's some great people to meet, and I've met a few<, but don't let D2D distract you from the RIDE, Thats what counts.
YMMV

This should be interesting........
