Where is the snow? Had the white stuff most of the day. Damn if I don`t have to split the cases again on the cota 200. Got the beauty going on the second kick, but shooting ducks. I`m all for the vintage again but next weekend is looking slim.

It's a damn good thing that no one is setting Gallup this weekend for March (like the original schedule had it). When we went through there around midnight last night, the ground was white and it was blowing like crazy and snowing hard. Blizzard conditions.

Am driving home with the Baja trials boys, they are wondering who the trials master is for Sunday's event?

Tell the boyz it's Ron Shoemaker for Uppers, Konrad Clark for Lowers. Good looking sections! 3 in Lower Pool and 5 in Upper Pool. Very spectator friendly event!!

There is a ton of BLM land in the glade recreation area that would likely be receptive to an event. They used to have rock crawling stuff there all the time.

Oops. I missed that post until Vx replied. I am going to have to take the GPS up and find out exactly who this patch of rocks belongs to. It is on the edge of a BLM area but I am not certain that this is officially BLM. I will try to get up there in the next two weeks to characterize the place further. This area is about 30 minutes north of Farmington.

That would be great! Let us know what you find out. Kind of out of the way for the ABQ crowd, but I'd do the drive for an event once a year up there. The terrain in your photos looked awesome!.

We have had several trials in the farmington area over the years. Some guy named Bud used to live there!

I can not remember the location. Being it was before I could drive. Had to be in `75 as I have a 2nd place medal in expert. I do remember a lot of slick sandstone which was a first on a trials bike for me.
I had learned to ride in farmington. So sandstone rock was not comepletely new to me. Spent thirty days straight riding. My parents could not get me off my trail 50 until we moved to Albuquerque!
