Wasn't the last Taos event basically in the parking lot area and the TMs had to set it on foot? Probably time to move on.

BTW, whatever happened to the trials at Angel Fire?
I only rode one and then we quit going up there. I promise, I didn't break anything.

I never got to ride Angel Fire when I first started riding trials due to events only on Saturdays and I had to work. Used to have the WeBe Hare Scramble on Sunday with a trials bike class too!

I know the guy who set every event at Angel Fire. The venue was okay but a one day trials event was difficult to attend and the terrain was marginal at best. My daughter did complete 2 loops there in the C Line Hare Scrambles on a trials bike, and was not even in last place.

The Taos Ski Village is going to go commercial in a big way (IMHO). Wait and see. How many years before the OE Pattison Road is paved to the top? I just love bill boards all over the mountain when skiing. Summit County is like Vegas in a "village" sort of way.

Motorcycle riding days at Taos are over me thinks.

Taos never really thrilled me, honestly. It was just too.....awkward to ride, and the camping was not prime either. Although I do remember one year in ATeamNM's motorhome.....

Even though I have said I would probably not ride there again does not mean that I want it thrown off of our schedule either. But, I can see how it can happen. Maybe the words "Noted Conservationist" in the press release has something to do with it. I'll wait and see I guess.

Odd that R.P. did not mention this news last weekend.

I am friendly with one of the Blake grand kids, he had already resigned his TSV post and moved to ABQ due to some family disagreements, I think this is more about that than commercializations on the mtn, that said, my old knees are ready for a lift to kachina . Don't know what it says for the future of trials there though, it was my first so I would miss it

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

It was a `real` trials area before the land was sold off and the condos built. We had great primitive camping on top. All the 40` mhomes kinda killed that. First problems arose with the nationals. We did end up with some killer single track up there!!!

Great to see the usual suspects today, had a great time and stayed relatively warm! Good to be moving again

We went to SY today and it was pretty darn good and not too cold at all.

Grizzzly and I are going to Springtime tomorrow if anyone wants to join us.
It's towards TorC and about 50 minutes south of Socorro.

Breakfast at Sophia's in Socorro at 8:00.

Sounds like fun. And the perfect place to hide forklift keys.

We worked on the zap un-load quite a bit. Here is Ron S showing us how.

And then jumping up on a rock without touching the cactus!
