Oh the MPG thing......we own a supercharged Chevy Avalanche and a 1500 Chevy Suburban and the bike talk got serious when gas here was up to $4.xx for regular. I don't care about the excuse to get a bike

Hi! I was just curious if any of my fellow women riders were planning on going to any of the Adventure Rider rallies or events in 2009 and if so, which ones? I was thinking of checking out WARPED in California in April.

Right now it is WestFest and SLAP. More later when I know I can afford them.

I have a number of fun ADV gatherings/rides I plan to do starting with Moab in March with and Idaho group, filling in the summer with activities in Idaho, Oregon and Washington and a ride to Colorado for the AMA women's convention in Aug.

If any of you come to the beautiful Northwest be sure to let me know.

What is this Moab in March you speak of? I'm thinking about a ride up that way in the spring. How's the weather there in March?

We were in Moab the first week of April last year and it was great! Not too hot and not too cold....just right. Now the snow/ice storm in Denver on the way back wasn't nice.

I really don't know much about Moab, I've done some street riding through the area a few times but this will be the first time doing a dual sport ride and I'm really looking forward to it.

From what I gather the weather that time of year can be beautiful during the day but there is a possibility that it might get cold at night. The campground we're going to has camp cabin that you can rent. It would be great fun to have you join us.

This is a terrific welcoming group, they have to be terrific, they tolerate me.

IdahoSam the guy that started this is moving to Hawaii, last minute decission, and won't be there but I'm sure everyone else will still follow through with going.

By any chance did you do a ride report? Tell us all about it, I want to know everything.

I didn't do a ride report. I didn't belong to ADV them. Besides, I don't know how to do a ride report

Also the hubby was on a DRZ400, I on the hand was riding my Yamaha 350 Bruin....ATV. If you want to see some pictures, I'll try to dig them up tomorrow. It is beautiful and I would definitely go again and again. It was our virgin voyage with our toy hauler.

Hey Ladybug, I just may ride on up there in March. I sold my dual-sport, and haven't gotten another one yet, so I'll be riding street (Kawasaki Concours - not going off road on purpose on that). I'd plan on camping, too.
I really don't want to ride through an ice storm though...!
