HAHA!
If that ain't a baited hook, I don't know what is!
Wonder how long it will take one of the guys to respond, seeing as how they are lurking on the gal's thread, weiners in hand, waiting for us gals to discuss naked pillow fights and breast exams!

The bit about laying the bike down gently in the back yard sounds a little scandalous when quoted.

Now that you mention it, it does sound a bit "suggestive"..took me awhile, since my mind teeters precariously between curb and gutter!

You're not going to believe this, but I was actually talking about guys helping you drop your bike.

Go look at some of the ride reports. Some folks here are extreme riders, and they're always knocking their bikes over.

But now that you mention it....

This is a 10 day trip (june 3-11), we'll probably take a trip to the laundramat on the 6th or 7th.

So here's the question -- when you travel by m/c what do you take and what do you leave at home? We're hoteling it, so I know I don't need my hairdrier (heck I'll have helmet hair anyways so I'll be wearing a hat most of the non-bike time anyways). I'm thinking 2 pairs of jeans, 3 or 4 tops and coordinating accessories (socks, u/w, etc), small brush, toothbrush, travel sized toothpaste/shampoo/conditioner, minimal makeup, mandatory medications (i.e. prescriptions). What else?

If you have packing recommendations too (roll vs folding clothes), I'll take them.

Thanks all!
Jennifer
We send dirty clothes home through the mail and that determines how much we can buy on the trip.

Don't forget your bathing suit for sun stops. One of your tops should be long sleeve. We always have trail mix, jerky and water in the tank bag.

Oh, and we roll 'em.

I ride with my SO but picked my own bike out. Fell in love with the older style BMW f650s, got a '97 funduro early this month. It's been great to learn on!

Threw my leg over a bunch of bikes at the Chicago International show in Feb. Knew I liked sitting up, not sport or cruiser style. Knew I didn't want to go over 650cc. Knew I liked the idea of a dual sport.

Found 3 new (unaffordable) bikes that 'fit' me perfectly that are on my want list. BMW 650 GS (Not Dakar b/c too tall), Ducati Multistada 620 and Ninja 650r.

Kept looking until I found my starter, she's a girl too, Red Molly. Take MSF in a few weeks but have been parking lot practicing.

Laugh count me in

Hey all, I am new to this forum too so I thought I'd say hi. Anyone (chick or dude) in here from Mississippi? I am interested in riding Red Creek and would like some feedback if anyone has ridden there?

Thanx!

my girly riding history

I started riding on a Ninja 250 in 1995. I rode that a couple years and then one day a bud of mine let me borrow his ZX-6 and that was it, I had to have one. I got a red one of those, rode it all over NC and MT, then ended up selling it while I raced karts for awhile (i know, i must have had some bad corn flakes that day?!).

But I have always been more of an offroad girl, so when I moved back to my old stomping grounds here in MS I got a little CRF-150. Loved it but wanted a dual sport. My hub and i just got matching (i know, awwww...) KLX-250's and this is the best bike I have ever owned, I love it.

We took our first camping trip on them last weekend - Desoto Nat'l Forest - here are some pics if you want to take a look. Note that HE is the one with the bloody face because he didnt wear his goggles. Silly boys, safety isn't just for kids!

Look forward to chattin' with y'all!!
