Review of the womens gerbings will have to wait. They haven't even shipped from the ware house yet...Hopefully next week...

I'm guessing the delay is because they are a new item as REvzilla usually gets items to my house in less than 48 hours from when I order them.

I was hoping to make it to Hammer run but work has, once gain, killed my weekend plans to ride anywhere but to work or to grab a few local tags.

Yeah, that's why I was looking for warmer gloves, too, the Hammer Run but we are in the same work boat it seems. sniffle indeed! though I will still need some gloves at some point so I'll keep my eye open for your review. Thanks!!

Any woman southeast Michigan riders out there?

I accidently discovered this thread a few weeks ago. I am thrilled to see other lady riders!!!!
I drag my girlfriend(Honda 230) and cousin(Honda ruckus) out on occasion and both bought their bikes to ride with me but.....they don't love it like I do. I would love to meet other riders to ride the backroads of northern Oakland,Macomb, and Lapeer counties. Anybody interested in getting together next spring? I know some beautiful roads around here.

I ride a 2009 KLR 650. Don't like riding on the pave roads with the crazy type A's car drivers(Rochester, MI) around here.... dirt roads almost exclusively.
For all you lucky ladies able to ride through the winter--I'm jealous!

Hi from San Francisco.

Hi Ladies, It's SO great to see so many Adventure Rider Wimmenz. Since I saw this thread, I thought I would post about this in here too.

Is anyone interested in volunteering at the Motorcycle Shows this year, in exchange for FREE admission?? We are ALWAYS looking for DualSport/Adventure Peeps to represent! It's one area of women riders that we tend to fall short on. I'm looking for volunteers at all the shows through March!

My hope is that the gear focus will also be better than last year. We’re working really hard to provide a broad, diverse representation of the various types of women’s gear that’s currently available to every woman who rides.
My job at the booth is to answer any and all questions you have about Gear. What's available to you, what's out there, what fits are best for certain body types, etc.

The focus of the booth will be on “HER RIDE, HER GEAR, HER ROAD” and will also provide opportunities for clubs and individuals to network with each other, plus learn and share through wide variety of seminars (Dual Sporting, Twisties, Gear and More).

If you’re interested in volunteering at the Center, we’d love to have you. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Go to: www.motorcycleshows.com to find the schedule for all shows.
2. Click on the show in the schedule for which you would like to volunteer. This will let you know the days, dates, hours and location for each show.
3. Most shows offer free parking if you arrive on a motorcycle.
4. Volunteers contribute three hours of their time to get into the show for free.
5. Send an email (joanne at gearchic dot com) and I'll send you the sign up form.
6. Unfortunately, we cannot get your guest in for free. But he/she can use my promo code GEARCHIC when buying tickets online for $4 off each ticket!
7. We have room for six volunteers per shift.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Ladies!!

Actually, mine are called "bat wings," but that is because SloJoe custom made them, and that is what he named them . They just button over the handles and are great because they break the wind and make a HUGE difference. You've never seen them on any bikes in the winter before?

G'day girls.

Have just stumbled across this thread - am a noob at all this. Recently got myself my first motorbike - a dr650 (kind of a midlife crisis / happy 40th / divorce present to myself)
Looking forward to having a read and picking up lots of info. Wish me luck!

Weekend trip to Greenville, SC or Washington, DC?

Raych, Congratulations!!! I would looooove to add a DRZ to my garage. Unfortunately we're on a 1 motorcycle per person budget.
