All you need to join are your ADVrider name and zip code.
Personal info doesn't have to be included.
It demands that I add my email address. Nuts to that.

I have ridden since I was 10--now that the kids are grown my hubby and I are back to riding on a regular basis-I ride everywhere-the grocery store, hardware store and run my errands on mine--sometimes I meet the hubby on his when he gets off work and we get a bite to eat and backroad home---always great to meet some new gals on bikes!! You girls rock!!!!!! Always enjoy reading your rides Dante!!!! Looks like you rode every kind of terrain possible that day----except maybe dry sand!! Days like that make for better riders and you girls looked right at home..

Wow it is awesome to see so many of us gals here.
Great to see the new riders being encouraged & hello to all the newbies to this thread.

Hey new hobbits, I'm a surviving 5' hobbit rider & know what you are feeling but it usually doesn't hurt to fall off road, especially while learning but it does hurt the pride when I drop the road bikes because the road is uneven &/oil/gritty where I have to stop & I can't quite get the toe down to balance. I aim for any little dip in the road to put me wheels in just so I don't have to worry about hurting my bike. You'll soon learn to get more comfy & confident with the ride & lower what you can without compromising handling. The main thing is you're out there having fun & doing it

We spent yesterday lowering my XT225 a bit (we cut the seat down about 1.5" slid the front forks up over an inch, and lessened the preload in the rear) and now I can put the balls of my feet down . It feels like it will be ok - I haven't had a chance to ride yet (still too much ice on the streets), but we are hoping maybe today we can find an iceless area and go for a test ride!

Think sunshine and warmth!!!

Add me to the list as well!
Just started riding last summer, and I'm completely hooked. I'm on my second bike - a 2005 DL 650 and LOVE it.

Eek

I just put the down payment on "my" silver BMW F650GS....yikers. I hope I'm worthy. Should be here in 4-6 weeks. oh boy oh boy oh boy.

I was worried that "my" bike was on that tanker that floundered in the Atlantic - crates with $15,000 beemers were sloshing up on shore.
