Here I am

I have found the site with the help from FlashStromer. Thanks for the greetings and to let you all know I was a little apprehensive about that type of bike for me, after all I do not even know how to ride yet. But Flash really believed it would be very good first bike and I would not outgrow it. So thus the purchase. I definitely plan on the Motorcycle class. I am a firm believer in that. After being on the bike for two weekends and falling so far about 4 times, I really glad we got the bike for me. So far I do not have any damage to the bike from the falls. Flash did tell me about some 3M protective coating that Shog uses. That I believe is a must for the sake of my bike. We have ordered crash bars also so that will help protect it also.

I really want to keep it looking as new as possible through this learning curve. Anyway I will keep in touch with this site and let you know how things are going. Since we are goin into a deep freeze the bike may not move for a bit. KCDakar knows what I mean.

Yep, wish I could go. He is the tea-bagger that goes above and beyond. I have a plan about that though...

VERY nice!

My SO is a big fan of the Outer Banks, I didn't know you could ride on the sand there...that's gonna bump it up on the "must visit" list.

Some amazing stuff here...

Nice to see just how many female riders are coming out. I swear on my 3k tour last year in 7 states and into Canada, i didn't see even ONE other female riding solo. I saw quite a few groups in Canada, but few female riders and many pillions. The few i did see were on cruisers. That isn't a social statement, simply an observation.

I hope to meet some of you this coming riding season. I saw there is a Hell's Canyon ride in the northwest...any more info on this ride? I rode through there last year only solo, and would love to go again with a group. I am game to do some off-roading with my bandit, however, it would be a bitch to pick up when down in the dirt! U can see how much i trust my dirt riding. I need to do an upcoming dirt class and then find a bike more suitable for adventure riding. Lighter would be nice...

Here is my contribution to the pic files....
Desert instead of sea...October NV 07

Monitor Pass CA 11/07 Nearly my last ride of last year prior to the snows...

Hey Queen, once you are on the Outer Banks and go north (maybe they call it east)the road runs out and there are several hundred homes that the only way to get to them is the beach(at low tide preferably) we had to go over 8 miles at low tide to get to the house we stayed in...it's really wild-all the building material and concrete trucks that come in with supplies for building have big balloon tires on them going up and down the beach --sometimes there are 4 to 6 crazy lanes of traffic going on...and then you have to watch out for the people on the beach themselves!!! And then there are the wild horses

this is my bike right after we got there and my son from the navy had just pulled up in his party jeep "Bubbles"!

the nephews gave me this for my kickstand--dual purpose board!

4-wheel drive doesn't mean everything!!Can't ya just hear it--"Honey,you're not gonna believe what happened on the way to the store"

ah yes, waiting for that summer weather again!!!
