For now I'm just trying to see how far I can extend the riding season here. We just got our first frost of the season last night- loving those heated grips!
Hey FolkGirl! Welcome to the asylum! I was completely sold on my heated grips the night I rode my 650 home. It took me a few months to get the winter gear straightened out, gloves were the hardest for me. Have you looked at the electrics yet? I bought a vest from aerostich closeout, but haven't tried it yet.

Well I have YET to be able to get out on my Dual Sport this year. The stars never seem to fall into alignment. I have however gotten out quite a bit on the Sportbike and got some great pics from my last ride out in Western NC.

Me and my ride....(note HUGE grin!)

Thumb I wanna be you if I grow up!

SSU-

I finally found a moment to read your ride report and related threads. WOW, that looks awesome! I hope to someday have the kind of riding skill you obviously do... are you accepting apprentices?

Cool ride, nice report, great pics. Thanks for sharing!

I've been through 7 men to get this particular route finished! Seven men - as in riding partners!

I hope everyone is enjoying the last of summer! How many more rides can we squeeze in?!

It's great to hear of so many more women getting on the bikes!!

I am another female rider. Pretty new to it all. I have 4 months under my belt. But i live with two riders and they keep me busy. I wish i had the opportunity to ride more though.

Just hoping my jacket will let my season last awhile longer.

It's finally cooling off here in north Texas, fall is in the air, and that means only one thing - time for a long ride! To go east or west, that's the dilemma. At least a week's worth, probably second week in October? Where's that extended weather forecast? I'll be riding my Kawasaki Concours, so it'll be all pavement.
Anybody else got fall trips planned?
I see some are noob here and some not-so-noob. I'm in the second category, and have logged many solo long distance miles with no problems, so ladies it can be done. Just be prepared for anything.

Sounds like everyone's working on fall rides. I'm trying to get in what I can in Laramie (7200') before the snow flies. Went on this ride last weekend and put on over 600 miles about 70% on dirt roads. It was great group and great ride and my KLR ran flawlessly! I did have one off and managed a very stylish somersault...fortunately, no one got photos of that!

Flygirl - if we get a hotsprings bike ride in this fall, I'll let you know!

hello!

I've been riding for just a few months, since I took the MSF class at the end of May! I now have over 3000 miles on my little DR!

I'm excited to see all the other ladies are here!

Hiya, ladies! I just saw this thread down here! I'm in MD and have been riding over 4 years. I'm on my 5th bike in that time.....should I be embarrassed about that? Hey, it's a gal's prerogative to change her mind, right? ;) Good to see all the ladies in one place on the forum! :)

Welcome.

Never feel embarrassed about your bikes. Be proud your out riding!

I have lost count how many I have had over the years as I tend to have many at one time.
